Application Engineer (AE) (m/w) für Frankfurt asap permanent

On behalf of our client we are looking for an application engineer in Frankfurt for a permanent position.
• Location is close to key customers, fluent in the customer language
• Product portfolio is Fluid and Fasten products together
• Flexible travelling is necessary (+50% of the time) in particular regarding customer visits and regular customer meetings at the relevant plants, as well as customer plant audits
• Responsible for basic first definition under consideration of customer requirements, most suitable technical features, tooling, cost and technical risk
• Communicates, promotes and further develops the design to the customer, including USPs and advantages
• Acts as technical contact for the customer, filters 60% of technical questions for the design engineer at the plant
• In cooperation with PDE, fills in technical specification at the start of the project, including negotiation of specification, DVP, counter-proposals and confirms the design of customer-owned interfacing components (eg: flanges, spigots, etc)
• Clarifies timeline and milestones with the customer and with the project team
• Can initiates the procurement of sample parts for customer demonstration/visualisation
• Actively participates in project teams (eg: design review and gate phase reviews) and is the technical voice of the customer including communicates and agrees on technical details between the customer and the project team
• Is responsible for the technical aspects of the customer B2B portal, including the maintenance of customer standards
• Takes care of customer-specific format submission (eg: CAD models, drawing, APQP), including ensuring that the customer drawing corresponds to the latest proposal in terms of technical and non-technical content
